“in my first few months at work, I made some real gaffes”
My staff’s biggest fear was that I’d make a “gaffe,” the expression used by the press to describe any maladroit phrase by a candidate that reveals ignorance, carelessness, fuzzy thinking, insensitivity, malice, boorishness, falsehood, or hypocrisy – or is simply deemed to veer sufficiently far from the conventional wisdom to make said candidate vulnerable to attack

Following is a curated list of embedded youtube videos of gaffes committed by Congress politicians and Congress itself with its manifesto. These were made just a few weeks before the elections.
Though they became fodder for the media, they didn’t have much impact on voters. Apparently, most voters had made up mind their well before the election. Anyway, have fun watching them.

Banning Bajarang Dal in Congress Manifesto
This is the last gaffe by Congress because it was right before the election. It was only a few days from the election when they announced the manifesto. It didn’t resonate much with people but made a lot of news in the media. I guess people had already seen enough communal issues in the last 2 years like Hijab, Azan, Halal, Boycot Muslim business, Uri Gowda and Nanje Gowda, etc. They didn’t want to have any more of it.
Hello. This post couldn’t be written any better! Reading this post reminds me of my previous room mate. He always kept chatting about this. I will forward this page to him. Fairly certain he will have a good read. Thank you for sharing.
