Merit for Sale in KPSC Recruitment

Appearing for Government Job exams? worried about KPSC exams – whether you are going to pass or fail? or more importantly, whether it will happen without any irregularities(paper leak etc) or not?

Did you know that Karnataka’s state commission – Karnataka Public Service Commission not only examines and selects meritorious candidates but also offers merit to candidates who are lacking merit? All you need to do is know the right persons – middlemen and have some cash, only 80 lakhs if you are applying for the post of Veterinary Doctor. The amount might seem little high at first, but it is worth every penny because you are getting premium experience. You get to stay in resorts, villas and 5-star hotels. It is a vacation with a job offer. I haven’t received any job offer while I am vacationing in a resort. It cannot get better than this.

The question is – Do you happen to know the right persons and also have some cash?, If you do, congratulations, now, you don’t have to worry about preparing and clearing the exam anymore. You can totally skip this step. But, there is also another step you can skip. You also don’t have to worry about any irregularities in the selection process. You get to kill 2 birds with one stone. Not every public service commission provides this kind of support to candidates.

If you don’t believe me, just ask a particular former KPSC chairman and a particular IAS officer, they will give you all the support and guidance you need to choose the easy path. They will boost your morale and shrink your morality so that you can skip the aspirant part and directly become whoever you want to be. Who knew the concept of Self-Actualization from Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is the mantra of the commission.

This might sound too good to be true at first. But, don’t let that thought shake your confidence.

if you think about in terms of Game Theory, this makes total sense. This a win-win interaction. You get to win as well as they get to win too. At the end, everyone is happy, well, except public about public institutions.

Well, you can’t make everyone happy, especially public. It might be a Public Service Commision and you are supposed to be a Public Servant. But, you can’t fix the public institutions because they are severely underfunded. Public is increasingly turning to Private Institutions for Education and Healthcare.

What can you do? Can you be morally upright and keep your hands clean? That is easy. All you need is a handwash. Keeping the hands dirty before you start eating a meal when there is a handwash in front of you is much harder. Keeping your sanity with morally bankrupt conscience is the biggest burden you can bear. This way you can be the best public servant you can be by not sharing the burden with anyone. In fact, you will be so good at not sharing the burden that you will not even utter a word to anyone that you are bearing a burden.

This burden is so heavy and hard to bear, you don’t want others to have it, so you don’t share it with others. This is the true meaning of Public Service – you are sacrificing yourself for others. This is the kind of self-sacrifice only you will understand.

I hope this post has been very inspirational for you to go about shopping for these jobs. There is no greater job than serving the public.

Finally, best of luck to all the candidates who don’t have and can’t access to right persons and some cash for the win-win interaction they have to make to get this job.
